Deni offers an interactive, authentic, and non-judgemental approach in therapy, acting as a guide, while offering empirically-based strategies and skills to support and empower clients in creating change. She views therapy as a collaborative process that involves integrating methods and tailoring them to meet the specific needs of her clients.
Deni values and enjoys working with clients of all ages and is experienced in providing individual, group, and family therapies. She also provides support to parents around positive behavior interventions that address emotional and behavioral challenges. Her areas of expertise include challenges related to depression, anxiety, disordered eating, self-esteem, body image, understanding and coping with emotions, interpersonal relationships, and general life adjustments. She is also experienced in working with individuals impacted by eating disorders and associated challenges. In her work with children and adolescents, she incorporates creative and expressive techniques that support their work in therapy by meeting specific age and developmental needs.
Deni received her master of social work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of North Carolina. She is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp).
