COURTNEY SCOTT, LCSWA

LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORK ASSOCIATE

In our human experience, everything can happen, despite our very best efforts and intentions. Courtney believes that difficult times, unexpected challenges, and significant losses are opportunities to develop strength and resilience, leading to peace and a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us. She is thoughtful about creating positive connections and strives to meet clients where they are with empathy, kindness and compassion. Clients appreciate the open, warm and supportive space to be seen and explore.

Courtney holds the belief that every person has in them the ability to heal, and that therapy is our tool to find one's truth for growth and wellness. She enjoys supporting clients who are experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, perinatal mood disorders, communication/relationship struggles and those in the sandwich generation. Courtney utilizes evidence-based practices to support clients with their individual needs and personal goals, and practices through an anti-racist and LGBTQIA+ affirming lens.

She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from North Carolina State University in Raleigh. Prior to private practice, Courtney worked in the nonprofit mental health sector supporting individuals and groups and has supported women and families as a postpartum doula.
